It’s that time of the year again. Is everyone ready for the shopping frenzy, cold weather and mandatory fruitcake? I know I am. But what are the holidays without holiday movies? I have a set of holiday movies that I absolutely must watch between November and January. Here they are in no particular order:
1. A Christmas Story. (Gosh, I hate this movie, it’s so tired. Problem is, it’s tradition and it doesn’t feel like Christmas unless I get to see a kid shoot his eye out.)
2. It’s a wonderful life. (Mandatory viewing, period. Is anyone besides me disturbed seeing Clarence in his undies?)
3. Miracle on 34th street. (Don’t care what year it was made. Beard-pulling fun for the whole family!)
4. The Muppet Christmas Carol. (I just like the scene where the rat gets hit in the head with something Scrooge throws at him.)
5. The Santa Clause. (Good ol’ Timmy may have been convicted for Cocaine possession back in the day, but he’s a funny funny man!)
So, that about does it for my mandatory holiday viewing. Are there any movies you think should be on my must-see list? What movies do you watch during the holidays?
