Do Not Pass GO

These parents are going directly to Hell. Seriously. Do not pass GO, do not collect $200. I can’t imagine the callousness of heart it takes to do something like that to your own child. Granted, it’s only an XBOX 360, but these parents have just taught their son a two-fold lesson: 1) his family will make a fool out of him for their own entertainment and 2) don’t trust anyone. I mean, if you can’t trust your family, who can you trust?

I just about cried. And the \”mom\” thought that it made it ok by saying \”you know we can\’t afford it.\”

Exactly. If they felt some iota of remorse, some guilt, I would have been easier on them. As it stands though, these parents obviously are evil.

You guys are way to nice. There aren\’t words to describe how wrong that was.

What a bunch of stupid \”parents\” … and I use that term loosely.

That\’ll leave a scar that lasts forever.

Man Ben, I just can\’t stop thinking about this! I just want to put a boot right in the side of their head. I just wish the video was a fake. But the tears in the kids eyes were all too real. Ok I am done now….

When someone finds out who the kid is I\’ll chip in for an XBox. Don\’t give the parents money, give the kid an XBox and a TV.

That was terrible to watch… and the fact that the parents were laughing, that was despicable.

I\’ll join Jeff w/ the XBox fund …

That is seriously screwed up. I mean, what kind of parent does that? They might as well have just kicked him in the face. It\’s a shame they don\’t often send people to jail for inflicting emotional abuse.

That kid is going to need a hell of a lot more than just an XBox to cure the emotional problems that\’ll bring him.

That was one of the saddest things I\’ve ever seen. I think the mom did realize what she\’d done, but there was no undoing it … not in her culture. She didn\’t know what to do. That poor, poor little boy … you could see the root of anger and bitterness taking root. It\’s horrible.

If this is real, that kid\’s gonna shoot up his school in some years and everyone will blame it on music and videogames instead of this.

Killer in the making, I\’m telling you

I\’m glad I\’m not alone in being extremely mad at these parents while simultaneously feeling such remorse for this boy.

@vidar: I thought the same thing about the possibility of the video being fake. The editing and closeups near the end seem too perfect. If I find out more I\”ll update this post and add a comment so y\’all who subscribed to the comments will get pinged.

I kept expecting the parents to pull the Xbox from somewhere else, but it never happened. I think along with that Xbox fund, he\’s going to need a therapy fund.
