openswitch

Of all the designs I’ve had on openswitch, this fluid-width three column minimalist is my favorite. I had it up a while ago and had forgotten about it until Mike recently reminded me of it. I had completely forgotten about it. But the design I miss the most is unsleepable. It’s still garnering attention which completely blows my mind. It’s because of unsleepable that I find myself in the position I’m in what with a PR7 and such. For that I’m glad I released it. But I miss it. I miss being able to call it my own. Yet as much as I love unsleepable, I love this one more.

Because of all this flip flopping lately my permalinks and google have gotten all screwed up. Lots of dead links makes Google fierce. Thankfully Textpattern has an uber-powerful plugin called Redirect Pro which automatically redirects every permalink to the correct article. It really is amazing and it takes care of all the problems associated with changing from WordPress to Textpattern. It’s a paid plugin but oddly enough, it is not available for purchase at this time. Very odd seeing as it’s such an amazing plugin. I’ve emailed the author asking him what’s going on. I’m sure there are a lot of folks who’d love to have something like this.

At any rate, I’m using the Textpattern Admin Theme by Jon Hicks because it rules. If you want to make it work with Textpattern v4.0.6 however, you’ll have to add this CSS to the bottom of the admin.css file:

Don’t expect things to change much around here for a while though (I know it’s become something of a sport, watching the design change here) as I’m going to be extremely busy with some other projects.
